Yarra Reflections

This series of woven tapestries came about from time spent along the Yarra River.

I have lived within walking distance of the Yarra for most of the time I have lived in Melbourne, and while in Fairfield have sought and enjoyed its calmness and sanctuary from the hustle & bustle of city life with its quick pace. Regularly we would spend a day drawing and photographing - absorbing the feel of a location, then going back to our studios to develop these ideas further.
