This was my first solo exhibition. I had been living in Melbourne for 7 years and the inner city domestic architecture was a main focus, especially since returning from a couple of months away. I found myself looking at the skies. In Britain the winter sky was low and grey, in japan it was higher and mauve-ish. In Melbourne during March, the sky was huge, clear and BLUE. Looking at the sky I started to notice terracotta finials and gargoyles, then my eye moved down to the bricks, tiles and gardens.
